Rebel Ridge Pinot Noir 2020
The palate is soft and round, with a low edge, and full of ripe fruit flavors, including sweet strawberry and dried blueberry. The palate is then enhanced with fine vanilla flavors from the 10 months of barrel aging.
It is named Level Ridge after the place where three rebellious winemakers met. They were frustrated with the stagnant wine industry, where some global companies were driving up prices. They wanted a wine that was different, and Level Ridge was born.
The chief winemaker, who grew up in Valpolicella, Italy, wanted to make the most of California's many hours of sunshine to create a "new wine style that is less pretentious and more fruity," combining the winemaker's expertise in highlighting the fruit nuances of the grape with the winemaker's ability to make the most of the wine's natural characteristics, The wines express both the climate of California's Lodi region.
The Level Ridge series' etiquettes reflect the winemaker's desire to create wines that are unadorned, delicious, and fruity.
