Pico Cuadro Wild 2018
The 2018 is not too high in alcohol, the grapes are not overripe, and the excellent acidity level tightens up the wine, resulting in a well balanced finish. The wine's color is healthy, with good potential for long-term aging, and it is also full of rich aromas.
Grown from 35 year old vines. The vineyard faces north-south and is 820-860 meters high. It is located on a slope that receives the maximum amount of sunlight. Clayey and sandy soils rich in calcium. Aromatic and expressive wines with concentrated flavors of red fruits. Creamy-fruity, balanced, harmonious and elegant.
Original 2016 is a well-defined wine with a fresh flavour which is characteristic of the and fruity grape variety, Tempranillo, the undisputed protagonist of this wine. It has a cherry red colour, a powerful nose and the very ripe red fruits give a soft and slightly balsamic taste. This is a truly fine wine which is full of flavour with a good balance of acidity and silky tannins. Elegance and discreet, with great weight of red fruit and an enchanting floral fragrance. Surprisingly youthful. Dense and rich, with compact tannins and extreme depth, with a finish of measured opulence.
