MARC ALEXANDRE Bourgogne Blanc 2019
Chardonnay, which is mostly planted in the southern part of the Côte Chalonnaise and Côte de Beaune, shows a variety of expressions depending on the age of the vines, the vintage, and the region. The soils are limestone soils with white marls, suitable for growing good Chardonnay.
The wine shows aromas of honeysuckle, white flowers, and a hint of mushrooms. The concentrated fruit flavors are integrated with the aromas and express a fresh and enjoyable character.
Maison André Goichot is based in Beaune, Burgundy, France. It was established in 1947 by André Marcel, the father of the current owner André Marie, who was born in Marseille, to sell bulk wines. His son, André Mali, the current owner, joined the management in 1987 and greatly developed the company as a maison involved in everything from bottling to distribution. In addition to Mari, the younger generation, including his sons Arnaud, Adrian, Pierre Alexandre, and Noémie, are now involved in the company. In 2015, the company signed an exclusive distribution agreement for the wines of Domaine Les Guignots, also located on the Côte Chalonnaise. A year later, they partnered with 25 hectares of vineyards owned by Château du Clay, also in the Côte Chalonnaise, and the Maison has continued to grow in multiple directions over three generations, including bulk wine, maison, and winemaking.
