Finca El Lince Monastrell 2017
In Humilla (DO), the soils are predominantly limestone. The region has a continental climate with summer temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit), but can drop below freezing in the winter. The 2017 Spanish wines were generally average. Only grapes from old vines in vineyards at 600-800m elevation are used. The grapes grow in calcareous soils in the sunny lower part of the vineyard. The color is dark cherry. The nose is very harmonious and elegant, with ripe fruit and vanilla notes from the new oak. The expression is rich, balanced and full-bodied.
MARGINES: Meat, spicy dishes.
