McLaren Vale's climate has low summer rainfall and a high need for irrigation, but as a result of its constant commitment to efficient water use and sustainability, it is now described as "the greenest wine region" in Australia. The color is a deep, bright purple. Deep spice, berry, and chocolate aromas integrated with oak. Full-bodied with an overflowing, complex mix of mocha, vanilla, and deep red berry flavors. Mid-palate sweetness nicely integrated with American oak. Finishes long and well balanced with silky soft tannins.

The Curtis Family Vineyard uses a combination of grapes grown on the family's own vineyards and grapes from high quality McLaren Vale producers. The fusion of monopole (solely owned vineyard) and sub-regional regionality is the secret to their winemaking. The sub-regions are Brewitt Springs, McLaren Flat, Willunga, and McLaren Vale.
