Vinification: The maceration is in oak tanks, with a maturation in French oak barrels for 22/24 months and it is aging in bottles for 6 month. «…Legend has it that in days of old Count Giangirolamo Il Acquaviva D’Aragona was involved in a dispute about taxes on his buildings. He Instructed his tenant farmers to construct “casedde” (temporary buildings) using only dry limestone. The buildings were dismantled before the arrival of the King’s inspector, hence he saw no houses and the infamous tax did not have to be paid.
