Château Cap Leon Veyrin 2018

Grapes grown on clay-limestone and gravel marl soils north of Listrac-Médoc, harvested by hand and mechanically and aged in oak barrels (60% new) for 12 months. A deep purple color with rich aromas of black fruits and gingerbread. The palate is elegant, the tannins are silky, and the finish is a wonderful vintage. This wine is classified as a Cru Bourgeois Superieur.

Traditional Medoc winegrowers, the Meyer family has been running the family winery for six generations. Pioneers of wine tourism, they opened their doors to tourists early on.
Producers Julien and Natalie continue the tradition of Merlot-dominance, egg white fining, 12-month aging in barrels and hand-harvesting of young and old grapes, while creating their own new additions to this famous Médoc Cru Bourgeois. He brings experience and a dynamic approach to winemaking.
