CATHA IGT Toscana Rosso 2015
2015 was a difficult vintage for the Tuscan coast, starting with a harsh and rainy winter, followed by an unstable spring and an extremely hot and dry summer. Production was expected to decline by 10-30% in each region. However, the fruit produced was highly concentrated. Grapes were harvested from Pollona in Cinigiano. Organic farming. Vineyard facing south-southeast at an average altitude of 200 meters. 6600 vines per hectare. Annual production of 6,000 bottles.
The nose is a mixture of berry fruits, wood, and spices. On the palate, the wine stands out for its moderate acidity, tannins, and long finish.

Love of the land and passion for wine. Everything begins here, in tending the promising and rugged land of the Maremma with the desire to explore its full potential.
It is a project that was conceived more than twenty years ago, when owner Stefano Sincini promised himself he would one day produce his own label. Today, this is Pianirossi: a reality that extends over 40 hectares in the hills of Montalcino, with its commercial farmstead already well-known for its wines, and a charming set of villas derived from a historic farmhouse estate.
