Caricature wines are grown in the Lodi and Clarksburg appellations and are produced from estate-grown, sustainable vineyards. The region is known for its exemplary Mediterranean climate, which is ideal for viticulture as temperatures rise during the day but cool down at night with cool breezes blowing in from the Delta. Just as a caricature artist draws a caricature on paper, this wine maker creates art in a glass. Karen, the current winemaker, joined the Lang Twins team in 2008. Her goal is to create wines that accurately reflect the vintage, grape variety, and where the grapes were grown. Throughout the winemaking process, Karen strives to highlight the most distinctive characteristics of each grape variety and craft blends that are considered the best in the region.
