LangeTwins CS Thirty Eight 2019

Sartiate Vineyard is on loam soils mixed with granite. Located less than a mile from the winery, it is one of the oldest vineyards in the winery, planted by the fourth generation twins in the late 70s. Yields are low and the fruit is concentrated.
The climate during the 2019 growing season was optimal for the vineyard's Cabernet Sauvignon. The nearly 50-year-old vines' fruit was tightly concentrated, and the long growing season allowed the fruit to develop rich aromas while maintaining a balance between sugar and acidity. In the glass, a complex bouquet of black cherry, sweet tobacco, cocoa powder, and black currant emerges and blossoms as the wine opens. In the mouth, rich, spiced dark fruit flavors are complemented by fine-grained tannins that envelop the palate and lead to a long, smooth finish.
The Lang Twins Single Vineyard brand was created to reflect the character and expression of each vineyard. Respect for the land and connection to nature gives the wines their foundation and character. The unique soil and climate, coupled with responsible farming practices, highlight the character of each vintage from generations of farms in Lodi, California. The winery's love of respect for the land it was born and raised on, and its desire to preserve it for future generations, is reflected in each bottle of wine.
