Miller Vineyard is located on granite-dominated sandy soils. The combination of topography and soil, which creates thick skins to resist the violent winds of the Delta, makes each vine unique in its growth. It is a difficult vineyard to grow, but it makes beautiful wines.
Traditional Old World aromas and lively California fruit flavors combine beautifully. Fresh aromas of black cherry, tamarind, and serrano pepper are complemented by earthy mineral notes like concrete wet from summer rain. Extended aging in neutral oak adds a powerful structure to the fruit character. Initially, flavors of raspberry and ripe strawberry are followed by firm yet silky, delicate tannins.The 2018 vintage finishes smooth, leaving behind a warm array of spicy fruit flavors.
The Lang Twins Single Vineyard brand was created to reflect the character and expression of each vineyard.
