pureCru MC Signature Chardonnay 2015

Harvested from three very small parcels in Napa Valley. Old Wendt clone, a variety originally planted in Meursault. No malolactic fermentation. This is a powerful, structured wine. It has depth, balance, and is close to classic Burgundy. The nose is floral, citrus, and mineral, and the palate is filled with honeysuckle, apple, pineapple, and a hint of vanilla.
Annual production less than 300 cases.
Three wine lovers from the Central Valley have come together with their founder and multiple award-winning Napa Valley winemaker. The winery is known for its small production and unique brand.
I've always missed the old days of making wine on a scale where I could do it all myself," said Mitch Consentino. Although completely self-taught when it comes to wine, Mitch Consentino, winemaker-in-charge, is the creator of the Meritage Blend, of which more than 200 are made today. Over the course of his career, he has won more than 2,000 awards, including the Andre Cherichev Winemaker of the Year, the father of California wine, and numerous other awards for best wine. His blending abilities are highly regarded around the world.
