pureCoz Meritage Blend 2013
Rich, powerful and full-bodied. A ripe, complex blend of red wines that dwells on warm tannins. Attractive aromas of black rose, gooseberry, plum, and sage. Intense, rich fruit is the first thing that comes to mind, but elegance is also present. Flavors of baked boysenberry pie along with subtle plum and black pepper flavors. This is a stylish Super Tuscan wine.
Three wine lovers from the Central Valley have come together with their founder and multiple award-winning Napa Valley winemaker. The winery is known for its small production and unique brand.
I've always missed the old days of making wine on a scale where I could do it all myself," said Mitch Consentino. Although completely self-taught when it comes to wine, Mitch Consentino, winemaker-in-charge, is the creator of the Meritage Blend, of which more than 200 are made today. Over the course of his career, he has won more than 2,000 awards, including the Andre Cherichev Winemaker of the Year, the father of California wine, and numerous other awards for best wine. His blending abilities are highly regarded around the world.
