La Croix Bastienne has an area of 0.28 ha in production representing a single plot in the Montagne Saint-Emilion appellation. The soil composition of this plot is natural sandy clay. The vineyard is 63 years old and is planted with 6060 vines per hectare. The vines are 100% Merlot. The pruning is double guyot. The thinning of the leaves is carried out manually at sunrise. The removal of the leaves allows aeration of the grapes and gives them the best conditions for maturing.
